GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SWITZERLAND

The intriguing country of Switzerland

There is an interesting amalgamation of rural beauty and urban chic in the country of Switzerland. The surprise set of cities include the capital Bern with its medieval old town and excellent modern art. Then there is Basel which is deeply Germanic and is known for its bold architecture. Geneva is known for its shopping scene and is located on the largest lake in Europe and has the tycoon magnet Zug. The uber-cool Zurich which has rooftop bars and atypical street grit.

When you come face to face with the hallucinatory landscape of Switzerland, you will be motivated to take action. Graubunden provides the opportunity for skiing and snowboarding, Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland are excellent for winter holidays. When the grass turns green, you can hit the biking and hiking trails among the mountain areas full of glaciers and the valleys lower below, glittering lakes and green vineyards. The natural grandeur of the country can be viewed from a parachute or hot air balloon or while floating in a white water raft.
